Sunday

That's Alameda and its little house boats across from Oakland.

If you touch the jelly-like things, it squirts.

We went to the farmer's market in Jack London Square in Oakland and strolled around the docks.

I want to have a house boat instead of renting. The only thing is, I wouldn't have a yard if I live in one. Like where would we grow our tomatoes and artichokes? I think a vintage Airstream trailer on a decent sized plot of land would be perfect. Then we'd just plop a mini hangar or yurt where we'd work on our stuff.

I do love the idea of living in a boat. But I was taking the ferry one time and it was storming like crazy. I had to close my eyes and sit still the entire time because I was getting sick as the waves were quite choppy. Eep.

Do you live in a boat? What's it like?

Archives

In case you're wondering where my old posts and downloads are, they are now at APAD Archives. I'll be trying to organize my posts as much as possible, posting more of my illustrations here, and craft and magazine related items at Parasol.

Thanks for visiting!

Girls in a Bottle

I get the same dreams often, especially when I'm sick. In this one, I am at a crowded party. And in this crowded party, there is a small bottle on the side table. Inside the bottle are Thumbelina-sized girls I see from a distance. One of them manages to escape and she starts crawling on the wall like a gecko. No one at the party seems to notice. I go, "A girl is crawling on the wall!" I run closer, and the closer I get, the little girl morphs into a gecko. And all the girls in the bottle become geckos. Then I'd wake up.
